See what our guests have to say about our holiday home...
“We (4 adults, 2 children) spent a very pleasant week at 12 Oakridge at the end of July. The Oakridge development is well-designed and thoughtfully laid-out. 12 Oakridge is one of a group of five properties. You are aware of your neighbours at times (as and when they are in residence, for most Oakridge properties are for ‘holiday’ use) but they are not in your face, as they might be on a more high density development; we enjoyed the seclusion. The property itself was spotlessly clean and tidy when we arrived (and hopefully when we left). The design is contemporary and uncluttered; the ‘upside down’ arrangement makes good use of the views over the Nicklaus golf course from the upper, living area level. We were lucky with the weather so most of our meals were taken on the rear terrace or front balcony. Very continental. One of our main reasons for renting 12 Oakridge was the complementary access to the St Mellion International Resort (to give it its full, and rather grand, title). This includes two golf passes and two leisure centre passes. Part of the reasoning was that, should there have been rain, small people could have been taken to the leisure pool and thereby occupied, amused and compliant for part of the day. As it happened there was no rain but in spite of this, the leisure centre was used, and enjoyed, almost every day. Access to the ‘Resort’ is a few minutes by car; there is also the possibilty of a leisurely stroll. Over a footbridge, a stone’s thow from the property, and you’re on the edge of one of the fairways. The hotel/cubhouse/leisure centre is then about twenty minutes pleasant walk along the side of a few fairways. Even the kids enjoyed that. The owner replied to emails promptly and the booking process ran smoothly. Our security deposit was returned within days of departure without prompting (despite the very best efforts of a 6 and 8-year old to wreck the place). We enjoyed our week here. So much so that we’ve booked again for next year (2015). Enough said.....”
